Acceleration training offers health benefits to people of all ages including performance athletes, recreational athletes, non-athletes, seniors and post injury recovery therapy.
We utilize Power Plate equipment to stimulate the body’s natural response to vibration. Muscles are forced to contract 25-50 times per second in response to mechanical vibrations delivered to the body from a central platform upon which static and dynamic exercises are performed. Unlike other devices Power Plate utilizes three planes of vibration, eliminating the teeter totter effect.
The technology was originally developed for the Russian space programme in the 1970’s where it was successfully used to decrease bone and muscle degeneration during cosmonauts time in space.
The technology has since been adapted to provide training and conditioning which can optimally “load” the human frame while minimizing high impact and high stress factors.
The net outcome is a workout in under 25 minutes which produces the results attained in an hour long traditional session and without the associated body stress.
